Ford Fusion: Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems / Interior Front Door Handle. Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Remove the front door trim panel.
   Refer to: Front Door Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

   Position aside the interior door handle ambient light.
   
   1. Remove the retainer from the interior door handle ambient light.
      
   2. Remove the retaining clip from the interior door handle ambient light.
      
   3. Position aside the interior door handle ambient light.
      

1. Remove the retainers from the interior front door handle and remove the interior front door handle.
   

1. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

   
   Remove the front door lock control switch.
   
   • Release the retaining clips.
     
   • Remove the front door lock control switch.
     

1. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

   If equipped.
   Remove the speaker.
   

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
