General Equipment
Removal
NOTE:
It is not necessary to carry out a PMI when installing a new GSM unless specifically instructed to do so in a TSB, GSB, FSA or SSM.
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Open the floor console stowage bin lid.

On both sides.
Release the clips and remove the floor console upper side finish panels.

Remove the screws, release the clips and remove the floor console upper trim panel.

Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

Release the clips and remove the center stack trim panel.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

On both sides.
Remove both console side trim panels.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

Remove the screws, release the clips and position the floor console upper support to access the GSM.

Disconnect the electrical connector, remove the screws and remove the GSM.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
