Ford Fusion: Steering Wheel and Column Electrical Components / Steering Column Multifunction Switch LH. Removal and Installation

Removal

1.   WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this section, refer to Safety Warnings in section 100-00 General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

   Follow the health and safety precautions.
   Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).
   

1. Remove the steering column shrouds.
   Refer to: Steering Column Shrouds (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
   

1. NOTE: The steering wheel is removed for clarity.

   NOTE: Make sure the component terminals are not bent or damaged.

   Remove the retainers and the LH steering column multifunction switch.
   

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
