Ford Fusion: Parking Aid / Rear Parking Aid Sensor. Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE:

Remove the rear bumper cover.
Refer to: Rear Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).

Disconnect the rear parking aid sensor harness from the rear bumper cover reinforcement.

Remove the retainers, release the tabs and remove the rear bumper cover reinforcement.

Remove the rear parking aid sensor.
-
Disconnect the rear parking aid sensor electrical connector.
-
Release the tabs.
-
Remove the rear parking aid sensor from the bracket.
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Carry out the azimuth and elevation system checks.

Dimmable
illumination provides backlighting to switches and control components
when the parking lamps are on or a set level of intensity when the
ignition is on for non-dimmable components. The level of intensity for
the dimmable backlit components is adjusted by pressing the instrument
