Ford Fusion: Body Closures / Luggage Compartment Lid Hinge. Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE:
Left hand (LH) side shown, right hand (RH) side similar.

Remove the luggage compartment lid.
Refer to: Luggage Compartment Lid (501-03)
.

Remove the parcel shelf trim.
Refer to: Parcel Shelf (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

Loosen but do not remove the hinge fasteners.
-
Remove the luggage compartment lid torsion springs.
-
Remove the fasteners.
-
Remove the luggage compartment lid hinge.
Installation
NOTE:
Left hand (LH) side shown, right hand (RH) side similar.

Position the luggage compartment lid hinge in the vehicle.
-
Loosely install the fasteners.
-
Install the luggage compartment lid torsion springs.
-
Tighten the fasteners.
Torque:
16 lb.ft (22 Nm)

Install the parcel shelf trim.
Refer to: Parcel Shelf (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

Install and align the luggage compartment lid.
Refer to: Luggage Compartment Lid (501-03)
