Ford Fusion: Front End Body Panels / Fender. Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE: LH shown, RH similar.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Remove the fender splash shield.
   Refer to: Fender Splash Shield (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Remove the fender insulation.
   

1. Remove the fender baffle.
   

1. Remove the rocker panel moulding.
   Refer to: Rocker Panel Moulding (501-08 Exterior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Remove the bolt.
   Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

1. Remove the bolts.
   Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

1. Release the retainers and remove the door frame moulding.
   

1. Remove the bolt.
   Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

1. Remove the fender-to-bumper cover bolts and position the bumper cover down.
   Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)

1. Remove the front fender bracket bolt.
   Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

1. Remove the pin-type retainers and the cowl filler panel.
   

1. Remove the bolts.
   Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

1. Remove the fender.
   

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
