Ford Fusion: Front End Body Panels / Fender. Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE:
LH shown, RH similar.
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove the fender splash shield.
Refer to: Fender Splash Shield (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).

Remove the fender insulation.

Remove the fender baffle.
-
Remove the rocker panel moulding.
Refer to: Rocker Panel Moulding (501-08 Exterior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

Remove the bolt.
Torque:
80 lb.in (9 Nm)
-
Remove the bolts.
Torque:
80 lb.in (9 Nm)
-
Release the retainers and remove the door frame moulding.
-
Remove the bolt.
Torque:
80 lb.in (9 Nm)
-
Remove the fender-to-bumper cover bolts and position the bumper cover down.
Torque:
53 lb.in (6 Nm)
-
Remove the front fender bracket bolt.
Torque:
80 lb.in (9 Nm)
-
Remove the pin-type retainers and the cowl filler panel.
-
Remove the bolts.
Torque:
80 lb.in (9 Nm)
-
Remove the fender.
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Remove the wheel and tire.

Transmission Cooling - 1.5L EcoBoost
This
vehicle is equipped with an external transmission fluid cooler. The
transmission fluid cooler is an oil-to-coolant fluid cooler which is
mounted on the left side of radiator. The cooling system also consists
of a thermal bypass valve which is mounted on top of the transmission
and a transmission fluid warmer mounted on top of the transmission...
WARNING: Do not overfill the fuel
tank. The pressure in an overfilled tank
may cause leakage and lead to fuel spray
and fire.
