Ford Fusion: Rear Seats / Rear Head Restraint Guide Sleeve. Removal and Installation

Removal
NOTE:
60 percent seat shown, 40 percent seat similar.

Remove the head restraints.

NOTE:
Backrest trim cover removed for clarity.
Release the locking tabs and remove the rear head restraint guide sleeves.
Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver
Installation

NOTE:
Make sure the holes in the backrest cover and
backrest foam pad are aligned to the holes in the backrest frame.
Install the head restraint guide sleeves.

By hand, pull upward on the head restraint guide sleeves
and make sure they are properly locked into the backrest frame holes.
If either of the head restraint guide sleeves can be removed by hand,
repeat the installation procedure. If the head restraint guide sleeve(s)
can be removed again after installing a second time, install a new head
restraint guide sleeve(s).

Install the head restraint.
