Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Open the luggage compartment lid.

   1. Position aside the luggage compartment lid pull handle cover.
      
   2. Remove the trim cover.
      
   3. Remove the screws and the luggage compartment pull handle.
      

1. Insert a flat blade screwdriver in the housing slot and slowly pry down to disengage tabs on the latch. Pull down on the latch trim cover and remove.
   Use the General Equipment: Flat-Bladed Screwdriver

   1. Remove the pin-type retainers.
      
   2. Remove the trim panel, passing the emergency release handle through the trim panel opening.
      

1. 
   Remove the luggage compartment lid latch.
   
   • Disconnect the luggage compartment lid latch electrical connector.
     
   • Remove the nuts.
     Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
   • Remove the luggage compartment lid latch.
     

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
