Ford Fusion: Rear Seats / Rear Seat Backrest. Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE:

NOTE:
The 40 percent backrest must be removed to allow removal of the 60 percent backrest.
All backrests

Remove the rear LH seatbelt buckle.
Refer to: Rear Seatbelt Buckle LH (501-20A Seatbelt Systems, Removal and Installation).

Lift the rear seat latch release handle.

Lower the rear seat backrest.

If equipped with heated seats.
Disconnect the heated seat electrical connector.

Lower the backrest.
-
Rotate the backrest hinge locking arm rearward and release the backrest.

Remove the 40 percent seat backrest.
60 percent backrest

Lift the rear seat latch release handle.

Lower the rear seat backrest.
-
If equipped with heated seats.
Disconnect the heated seat electrical connectors.

Lower the backrest.
-
Rotate the backrest hinge locking arm rearward and release the backrest.

Remove the 60 percent seat backrest.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
