Ford Fusion: Exterior Trim and Ornamentation / Luggage Compartment Lid Moulding. Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. 1. Position aside the luggage compartment lid pull handle cover.
      
   2. Remove the trim cover.
      
   3. Remove the screws and the luggage compartment pull handle.
      

1. Insert a flat blade screwdriver in the housing slot and slowly pry down to disengage tabs on the latch. Pull down on the latch trim cover and remove.
   Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver

1. Remove the pushpins and the trim panel.
   

1. Disconnect the electrical connector and position aside the wiring harness.
   

1. Remove the emblem and remove any adhesive from the surface. Discard the emblem.
   Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

1. NOTE: Inner panel of the luggage compartment lid not shown for clarity.

   Remove the retainer nuts.
   Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

1. Release the clips.
   

1. Remove the upper moulding.
   

1. Remove the bolts and release the clips on the lower moulding.
   Torque: 18 lb.in (2 Nm)

1. Remove the luggage compartment lid lower moulding.
   

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
