Removal

Remove the RH halfshaft.
Refer to: Front Halfshaft RH (205-04 Front Drive Halfshafts, Removal and Installation).

Using the puller, remove and discard the intermediate shaft seal.
Use the General Equipment: Puller

Inspect the intermediate shaft bushing. Replace if necessary.
Refer to: Intermediate Shaft Bushing (308-07B Power Transfer Unit - 6-Speed Automatic Transmission – 6F35, Removal and Installation).
Installation
-
NOTE:
The seal is correctly installed if it is flush with the transfer case cover.
Using the special tools, install a new intermediate shaft seal.
Use Special Service Tool: 307-256

The
starting system controls the cranking of the engine. The starter motor
is enabled by the starter relay when the relay is activated by the PCM. The PCM receives inputs from the ignition switch - push button start, automatic transmission, Run/start relay and the BCM before activating the starter relay to initiate cranking of the engine...
Removal
Remove the front seat.
Refer to: Front Seat (501-10A Front Seats, Removal and Installation).
Detach the electrical connector retainers and position the wire harnesses aside.
Detach the backrest cover straps and position the backrest cover upward...
