Removal

Ford Fusion. Direct Current/Alternating Current (DC/AC) Inverter. Removal and Installation  WARNING: Disconnect the battery before servicing the direct current to alternating current (DC-AC) inverter or alternating current (AC) powerpoint to prevent the risk of high voltage shock. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

  1. Ford Fusion. Direct Current/Alternating Current (DC/AC) Inverter. Removal and Installation  WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this section, refer to Safety Warnings in section 100-00 General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

    Follow the health and safety precautions.
    Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).
  1. Disconnect the battery.
    Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).
  1. Raise the armrest.

  1. Release the clips and remove the RH side floor console finish panel.

  1. Remove the pushpin, release the clips and remove the RH side floor console side trim panel.

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the DC/ AC inverter.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    The tire pressure monitoring system measures pressure in your road tires and sends the tire pressure readings to your vehicle. You can view the tire pressure readings through the information display. The low tire pressure warning light will turn on if the tire pressure is significantly low. Once the light is illuminated, your tires are under-inflated and need to be inflated to the manufacturer’s recommended tire pressure.
