Ford Fusion: Engine - 1.5L EcoBoost (118kW/160PS) – I4 / Engine Mount. Removal and Installation

Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

Release the tab, remove the retainer and position the degas bottle aside.

Remove the retainers and the engine undershield.
-
Install the following items:
-
Use the General Equipment: Trolley Jack
Use the General Equipment: Wooden Block
-
Remove the engine appearance cover.
-
-
Remove the bolts, nuts and the engine mount.
-
Discard the nuts and bolts.
Installation
-
Tighten the engine mount studs.
Torque:
89 lb.in (10 Nm)
-
-
Install the engine mount and the new nuts.
Torque:
85 lb.ft (115 Nm)
-
Install the new engine mount bolts finger-tight.
-
Remove the following items:
-
Use the General Equipment: Trolley Jack
Use the General Equipment: Wooden Block
-
Tighten the engine mount bolts.
Torque:
66 lb.ft (90 Nm)
-
Install the engine appearance cover.
-
Install the engine undershield and the retainers.
-
Position the degas bottle and install the retainer.
Torque:
80 lb.in (9 Nm)
