Ford Fusion: Engine - 1.5L EcoBoost (118kW/160PS) – I4 / Engine Mount. Removal and Installation

Special Tool(s) / General Equipment

Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
   Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).
   

1. Release the tab, remove the retainer and position the degas bottle aside.
   

1. Remove the retainers and the engine undershield.
   

1. Install the following items:
   • Use the General Equipment: Trolley Jack
     Use the General Equipment: Wooden Block

1. Remove the engine appearance cover.
   

1. • Remove the bolts, nuts and the engine mount.
     
   • Discard the nuts and bolts.
     

Installation

1. Tighten the engine mount studs.
   Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

1. 1. Install the engine mount and the new nuts.
      Torque: 85 lb.ft (115 Nm)
   2. Install the new engine mount bolts finger-tight.
      

1. Remove the following items:
   • Use the General Equipment: Trolley Jack
     Use the General Equipment: Wooden Block

1. Tighten the engine mount bolts.
   Torque: 66 lb.ft (90 Nm)

1. Install the engine appearance cover.
   

1. Install the engine undershield and the retainers.
   

1. Position the degas bottle and install the retainer.
   Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
