Ford Fusion: Engine - 1.5L EcoBoost (118kW/160PS) – I4 / Oil Pressure Switch. Removal and Installation

Materials

Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
   Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).
   

1. Remove the retainers and the engine undershield.
   

1. Remove and discard the engine oil filter.
   

1. Disconnect the engine oil pressure switch electrical connector.
   

1. Remove and discard the engine oil pressure switch.
   

Installation

1. Install a new oil pressure switch.
   Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

1. Connect the engine oil pressure switch electrical connector.
   

1. Lubricate the O-ring seal and install the new engine oil filter.
   Material: Engine Oil - SAE 5W-20 - Synthetic Blend Motor Oil / XO-5W20-Q1SP (WSS-M2C945-B1)
   Torque: 128 lb.in (14.5 Nm)

1. Install the engine undershield and the retainers.
   

1. Inspect and adjust the engine oil level.
   Material: Engine Oil - SAE 5W-20 - Synthetic Blend Motor Oil / XO-5W20-Q1SP (WSS-M2C945-B1)
