Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Ford Fusion. Front Brake Flexible Hose. Removal and Installation  WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this section, refer to Safety Warnings in section 100-00 General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

    Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).
  1. Remove the wheel ant tire.
    Refer to: Wheel and Tire (204-04A Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).
  1. Remove the flow bolt and detach the front brake hose. Discard the washers.
    Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
Ford Fusion. Front Brake Flexible Hose. Removal and Installation

    1. Disconnect the brake tube fitting.
      Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
    1. Remove the brake flexible hose bracket bolt, the clip and the brake flexible hose.
      Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Bleed the brake system.
    Refer to: Brake System Pressure Bleeding (206-00 Brake System - General Information, General Procedures).
