Ford Fusion: Acceleration Control / Accelerator Pedal. Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: To prevent setting Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), make sure the ignition switch is in the OFF position prior to disconnecting the accelerator pedal electrical connector.

  1. Ford Fusion. Accelerator Pedal. Removal and Installation  WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this section, refer to Safety Warnings in section 100-00 General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

  1. Disconnect the accelerator pedal sensor electrical connector. Remove the bolt and the accelerator pedal assembly.
    Torque: 33 lb.in (3.7 Nm)
